Nick, you are right.  You did set it up.  Goody.  That means I don't have
to work out how to shut it down.  Always felt guilty about abandoning the
group, and for no good reason it seems.  ;-)

Hi Nikki.

FWIW, I just invited you to austechwriter.slack.com
<https://austechwriter.slack.com/messages>. I started that a couple of
years ago, unaware until now that Christine had started one (with a plural
name) even earlier.

My opening message on 30/5/2016 was:

"This Slack channel is an experiment to see if we Australian Technical
Writers can go beyond "1990s technology" (as Christine Kent  describes it)
in communicating as a group."

I invited all the  Austechwriters mailing list members who were active at
the time. About half joined, and the channel was fairly active for a while,
sometimes with daily traffic.

But as at least one person predicted it all died off. Last real activity
was in October 2016.

There's a Write The Docs workspace with an Australia channel, which seems
busy. I've just invited you to that as well, but you'll need to join the
Australia channel.

Cheers,

Nick

I started it a few yeas back and abandoned it.  If you want to take it on,
I can probably work out how to get back into it, invite you and make you
the owner.  Not sure though.  Let me know.

Alternatively, you could join the "Write The Docs" Slack group, which was
active last I knew anything about it.

Anyone else want to take the AusTechWriter group over? I think it is time
I shut it down if no-one wants to run with it.

Cheers, Christine

Hi All,
Is there a slack version of this list? I saw a post for this in an online
search but I need to be 'invited' it seems.
Could someone let me know how I get an invite to austechwriters.slack.com
please?
Many thanks
N
