that a couple of years ago, unaware until now that Christine had started one
(with a plural name) even earlier.
My opening message on 30/5/2016 was:
"This Slack channel is an experiment to see if we Australian Technical Writers
can go beyond "1990s technology" (as Christine Kent describes it) in
communicating as a group."
I invited all the Austechwriters mailing list members who were active at the
time. About half joined, and the channel was fairly active for a while,
sometimes with daily traffic.
But as at least one person predicted it all died off. Last real activity was in
There's a Write The Docs workspace with an Australia channel, which seems busy.
I've just invited you to that as well, but you'll need to join the Australia

I started it a few yeas back and abandoned it. If you want to take it on, I

Alternatively, you could join the "Write The Docs" Slack group, which was
active last I knew anything about it.
Anyone else want to take the AusTechWriter group over? I think it is time I
shut it down if no-one wants to run with it.
