Assuming the sequence order is important, you could:
- list steps in a form of workflow diagram giving (arrowed) sequence indicators
- insert emphatic sequence-signalling words (e. g., THEN, NEXT) between steps
to emphasise order
- be old fashioned and do stuff that's designed for purpose and known to work.
Like numbering steps and things.
If you have a choice between being clear and being fashionable and have to
choose fashion, you can have a tough time threading shoelaces after you've
knotted them. Good luck with that.

So, I'm potentially faced with writing tasks but not wanting to number

marketing material and looks somewhat dated. How would you do it?
