What's Developing in the Help World? HyperWrite's Tony Self, who is just back from the annual WinWriters (now called WritersUA) Help Conference in the US, will report on the latest developments in the Help world. One interesting trend is the move away from the word "Help" to the phrase "User Assistance". Hear what Tony has learnt about: · Microsoft's next generation User Assistance environment called Help.Longhorn and its XML-based format, named MAML (Microsoft Assistance Markup Language). · eHelp's acquisition by Macromedia, and the strengthening of the "structured authoring" methodology. The local equivalent of WritersUA event, AODC, is to be held in late April in Manly, so Tony can also provide a preview of the topics and activities planned. Time? 6.00 to 8.00p.m. Where? NSW Teacher's Federation Building, 23 Mary Street, Surry Hills Cost? $10.00 Pay at the door. For catering purposes, please book by p.m. Monday 5th April, 2004 How to book?
