Hi Austechies,

We have changed the date of the Advanced Word workshops (facilitated by
Andrew Lockton) to the weekend of 6th/7th November. This is to avoid a
conflict with the Melbourne Cup "long" weekend here in Melbourne and the
ASTC (NSW) conference.

Andrew Lockton is one of the most knowledgeable authorities on Word in
Australia, so this is a rare opportunity to improve your skills with one of
the best.

Day 1 - Advanced Word for Technical Communicators

*       Exploring the application options

* Creating and using paragraph and table styles for consistency and
speed
*       Mastering Word's fields
*       Stable outline list numbering
*       Page layouts and header/footers
*       New features of Word 2007/2010 you should know about: Citations;
Smart Art; Building Blocks; Content Controls; Equation Editor
*       Creating and implementing templates
* Resolving problem documents - with student sample files

Day 2 - Advanced Templates with RibbonX and VBA

* Overview of how to implement, read and debug VBA code
* Recording and adapting simple macros
*       Creating userforms
*       Building RibbonX Toolbars

You can decide whether you want to attend either or both days. Each is a
standalone course which does not rely on your attendance at the other day.

For more information and to download an enrolment form, visit
www.astcvic.org.au/courses. Please note that the dates on the website have
not yet changed, but everything else is correct.

We hope to see you there!
