In the near future, any Sydney dweller who gets into a jam with Acrobat
or PDFs will receive, or at least deserve, the retort, 'You should have
come to the PDF Jam Session'.

'PDF Jam Session' is the ASTC(NSW)'s next Sydney meeting.

It's a chance to bring along files that didn't seem to PDF properly.
Nick Hodge from Adobe Systems will try to sort them out. And of course,
if you can't put your finger on any specific problematical file, you are
still welcome to watch and learn and contribute.

So keep an eye out for your PDF problems and save up your problem
documents to bring along. Bring the original file (on CD) and you'll
probably want to bring the unprintable/invisible/bloated/1 mm
high/non-existent or whatever else PDF that you made from it. Or maybe
you've received a troublesome PDF from someone else.

Nick's PC will have Adobe products (CS, Framemaker, Pagemaker and
obviously Acrobat 6.0.1 Professional + Reader 6.0.1) and Microsoft
Office Standard loaded, which covers the majority of the bases. If you
have Visio, Corel or Macromedia etc. problems, bring some printouts
anyway and Nick will be happy to discuss them.

When? Wednesday June 30th, 6pm to 8.30pm.

Where? Sydney Mechanics School of Arts, Level 1, 280 Pitt Street,
Sydney. It's on the Museum side of Pitt Street between Park & Bathurst
Streets.

Cost? $15.00 ASTC members who book by Monday June 28th 2004, and $20 for
all others. Pay at the door.

How to book? Email: info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, voicemail on 82507056 or fax
92520441.
