Technical Writer, Sr. Creates, develops, plans, writes, and edits installation, user, and reference materials for technical and non-technical users. Under moderate supervision, performs technical writing tasks on multi-level complex documentation projects that require effective planning, scheduling, research, and writing. Assists less experienced writers with style and technical issues. Knowledge and Skills Required Education / Training / Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in technical writing, journalism, English, or business with a strong writing minor, or equivalent job experience. Minimum 5 years of increasingly responsible technical writing job experience. Special Knowledge and Skills: Expert-level knowledge of desktop publishing tools such as Microsoft Word and Adobe FrameMaker. Familiar with software development cycles and using project documents as source material. Excellent time management skills with the ability to accurately estimate task duration and meet schedules for multiple projects. Ability to edit own work and the work of other writers. Proven ability to work in a team environment. Knowledge of MFG/PRO, other ERP systems, or Financial background.
