Well a lot of the blind did, but I also know of a few sighted people who don't
like the new system
either, they can cope with it though, but they didn't like the changes. Those
aren't likely to
leave though.

At one time back in 2007 into part of 2008 I had an audio-pals group over in
Google groups too, but
with the mac couldn't control the spam filtering system, so the bulk of our
messages wound up being
spam, so eventually just closed it down. I would guess by now things have
gotten better, but
thought I would explore other options first thus wound up with emissives, and
now also free lists.
Would hope since they are dedicated to mail groups, they should be pretty good
at it. Well that
would be common sense, and I know common sense is melting away like a snow
drift in the desert, but
am hoping we are still in at least a slushy patch *lol*.

Yes it got bad, it did improve a little for Safari users with macs, but it is
still hit or miss for
some things. Such as editing a member's membership for example, something that
a group owner or mod
should be able to do if they are going to own or mod. It is their whole new
neuo thing, but now
more and more stuff has been incorporated into it now. They have a plugging
for firefox to bypass
it so the group page is traditional, but when I tried that it was even worse,
and still a lot of
things that you could see to click on wouldn't do anything. So their plugin
doesn't work right now
either because yahoo probably has done additional tweaking to their system to
new and improve it.
That is why we moved in the first place.

Actually free lists has been around for a while. I think emissives only opened
up to the public
fairly recently, and in that time period was when yahoo groups changed their
administrative
interface and emissives was right there in the migration path. A lot of groups
did move over there.
Freelists has a lot of groups too, but I don't think most of them are
immigrants, think they were
groups born on their system verses coming from other servers.

Not a connection except that it seems a little odd in how it's handling yahoo
mail, especially
BethAnn's e-mail. Well I know of no other connection that is.

I'm still wondering though since Yahoo did change some stuff with their system
recently because of
the heart bleed, if free lists is still just catching up.

Yep, have left the yahoo in there for a while to see what all goes on,
eventually though it will go
by by from the list though.

I am seeing that on my yahoo address that I subscribed into the list. Ray that
may be where you've
seen that.

Yahoo and free lists still aren't getting along that well yet, or free lists is
at least coming up
with some sort of adjustment finally. Maybe more people will see BethAnn's
e-mail.
