I do not believe knowledge is inborn otherwise there would be no need for
universities or colleges. Likewise there would be no need for grade school
either, we could all start working right out of the womb, well at least when
we started walking. Right around the time of the first industrial revolution
it became evident what was thought of children because they were sent to
work in the factories just as the rest of the population. It may have been
thought before this time period, but a lot of people thought children were
miniature adults and therefore could think like adults. I said the first
industrial revolution, but it very well could have been the second
industrial revolution, it has been a while since I took Western Civ. It was
shorltly after this that children were banned form working in the factories
due to new laws and many children received I believe opiates to make them
sleep. Some of you all history buffs can correct me on any incorrect
information. I can say though that children are treated much different today
than they were in the past and that's a fact Jack *LOL*.

We also have to learn the difference between right and wrong. I maintain
that knowledge is not inborn.

Well John Locke presented the idea of Tabula Rosa or blank slate. That we
are born with a blank slate. There are others that believe we are born with
inborn traits or behaviors some, but not all traits are inborn some still
have to be learned. I tend to believe that we are equally influenced by
nature and nurture. We have inborn traits such as breathing, but we have to
learn things such as who is going to protect us etc.

I think with humans it's mainly taught That kind of thing is learned
behavior

So then the question arises as to how much is taught and how much is
instinctual.

if they do I suspect it is because of what they are taught by their parents
regardless of species.

Well different ages do view differences differently probably.
