Just FYI, I haven't listened to it yet, but the most recent episode of the
Blind Podmaker podcast is about how to record high-quality screen reader
demoes. Seems relevant.

I've tried that too without success. I set Virtual Recorder to the both
setting, and I actually record neither my voice nor the screen reader. These
comments are not quite on copic for Audcacity, but I'm just trying to get this
task accomplished.

Hi,
For this type of scenario I use Virtual Recorder that allows to record both
sources and does pretty good job.
I am not saying it is not possible in Audacity.

Hi Dean,
This is just my two bits worth, but if your voice is louder than jaws,
it's probably that the volume of jaws needs to be turned up a bit. You
can adjust this the way you normally do in jaws. Good luck.

P.S.
Although I don't podcast often, when I need to record my voice and the
screen reader, I generally use Virtual Audio Cable. But that might be
a bit much to go through for some.

Subject: [audacity4blind] recording a screen reader demo with
Auydacity
Hello. I've just started using Audacity 3.0, and I want to record a
demo with my voice and one or more screen readers. I have great hopes
for this, I'd rather not buy an audio interface or a mixer. I
understand this is supposed to work.
When I turn Windows Wasavi on, my voice still sounds adequate, but
JAWS is very faint and distorted. I'm using a USB mic and JAWs is
coming through the same channel.
Can this be done?
Thanks.
Dean
