Huge thanks! I believe I understand this. How then does moving clips
intersect with "align tracks" on the track menu? What kind of matrix
does Audacity attempt to align tracks? Do they get aligned by first transient?

Well, we can't have everything. Using this method, I imagine that
experimenting with the clip alignment between both tracks would take
lots of time, since I'd have to wait for each instance of the clip
left or right to complete.
