I've wanted to switch to Audacity's noise reduction from Sound forge because I now use Audacity more than Sound Forge. But try as I may, I can't find the right noise reduction settings. On one extreme, no noise is removed; on the other, the entire track becomes silent. This holds true both with noise capturing and manual settings. Is Audacity's noise reduction a serious contender?
