Hi

What you want to do is easy once you know how. You need to import each audio file as follows:
1. Press alt-f to open the File Menu
2. Press i for import
3. Press a for audio and browse for the first file
You may get a warning about importing audio. I choose to copy into the project, which takes a bit longer but is safer.
4. Repeat the steps above until you have all the files in Audacity.

When you play you will hear all files at once. To work on one file, select it by pressing Enter. NVDA (any screen reader) will tell you that the track is selected. Make sure that only that track is selected if you only want to apply the effect to it. Pressing Enter on a track will toggle selection.

Save the project often to limit frustration if things go wrong.

The Audacity manual explains things very well, but will refer to mouse clicks more than keyboard commands.

Thank you very much. Sorry, I didn't present well.

Take for example,
I have the following audio files:
1. basic melody used for background music
2. some animal sounds, e.g. pig, birds, insiects, etc.
3. one people singing a song but without melody or background music

I would like to mix them all into one file, but before that I want to apply effects to each of the files.
If I edit them separately, I would not know how they will work together. So I would like to put them into one audacity file with multiple tracks (I don't know how to do that)
By putting them all together, I then want to apply effect to each of the track, and play to hear the effects as if they are all mixed. If the effect is not what I wantted I will undo or apply another effect, etc. till all the tracks have been added effects or go well together, then I will mix them and output as one audio file.

Thanks.

If I understand you correct, do the following.
If you want the all tracks to start one after the other,:
1. select all with ctrl+a
2. go to the tracks menu
3. fine option, align tracks and press enter.
4. press enter on the first option called "align end to end.

hi, to mix all tracks to one track you select all the tracks with ctrl
a then you go to the tracks menu and down arrow to mix to single track.
then you enter on the mixed track to select it then, go to the file
menu and export it.

Hi, all ,
I am sorry, I have some different recordings and would like to mix them
into one audio file.
How to do that with NVDA?
when mixing, how to apply effects to individual track?
Many thanks.
