hi, previously i was using goldwave to do all audio things. but i am
thinking to switch to audacity, but as we know, audacity is multi
track while goldwave isnt. so, in goldwave, i find it very easy to mix
new sound files with the other sound file. ok this is the example, i
have a song that is about 3 minutes long, then i want to put a sound
effect at 30 seconds, and another at 1 minute and 30 seconds and so
on. so in goldwave, i just load the song, and then move the cursor to
30 seconds and then open the sound effects that i want, copy it and go
to goldwave, then mix it. what will happen is, the duration of the
song will still the same 3 minutes, but now, if i play from beginning,
i will hear what i have mixed with the song at 30 seconds. that is
call mixing. i don't want to insert sounds, i want to mix them with
the other sounds. so, based on the above example, how can i accomplish
the same thing in audacity? i hope this is clear.
