Here's a direct link to the Text Envelope section of that page:

That plug-in is one that I wrote because Audacity's "Envelope Tool" is not
accessible. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has ideas for improvements.

Gary, you raise a very good point. I have been meaning to write about
this most useful tool for some time. Text Envelope does exactly what you
want. You can find it at

Shout if you get stuck on installing it. In brief, it goes in the
Audacity plugins folder.

Subject: [audacity4blind] lifting and dropping volume graduly
Hi list.
How do I lift or drop a volume in a selected part.
When I select a part and click amplify, it just jumps to the new volume
abruptly.
I want it to faid from the one volume to the next.
Almost like a faid in or out.
Except from where the volume is to the volume where I want it to be.
Thanks in advance,
Gary.
