You don't have to import an Audacity project and, as you have found, you can't. Assuming the data folder is in the same folder as the .aup file, just open the .aup file (ctrl-o). Alternatively, if the operating system has associated the filetype correctly you can just find the file with File Explorer if using Windows and press Enter.

Hi all

I use the latest Audacity and, to my sorrow the latest JAWS 17.

I have both the ‘data and the ‘aup files of some info I want to add to now.

However I can’t import either of these into audacity and I no longer have the MP3 file of this material.

Is there a way to import the ‘data or ‘aup files?

Trying to do it under “Import,” doesn’t work. I get an error message of some kind or just get put back into the edit box for the file name.
