It is difficult to have a podcast with 3 participants as long you wish to be
mandatory free.
It is not impossible to achieve but much more work around.
One option will be to have each of you an audio file recorded in Audacity
whilst you talk on messenger or another platform.
Gathering together this files you have to sincronise them and using
multitrack facilities from Audacity to produce a unique file which will be
uploaded on a free podcast service. They are a lot around, but each of them
will have their down size. One is limited in bandwith, other in recording
time, other in upload size file, etc.
You have to make a research to see what's right for your situation.
The payd version means 14 dolars for a pro account with Zoom, which allows
you to record each participant in separate channels, but provides an mp4
file video if you record with video. Alternatively, along this separate
channels you have a joint recording for guidelines.
Then, will be around 9$ per month for a decent payd podcast service.
I thing, the costs are not a problem for most people today when we talk
about this little money.
For me it is from faar worth pay this services as I have mentioned above
then spendding considerably more hours to reach the same with free options.
And, some compromizes will be somewhere for sure weather free service you
use.
Please note, in case of Zoom , not all of the participants needs to have a
pro account but just the host only.
If maths is made, under 25 dolars per month you have a webinar and podcast
service payd.
If you spleet this costs to 3 gets a reasonable 8-9 dolars for each.
If the project is serious then at list this amount must be spent for it.

Subject: [audacity4blind] free ideal podcast recording platform?
Hi friends!
This is David. Some sighted friends of mine wanted to start a podcast. They
used the Anchor app to record, but a couple of things rendered the results a
bit less than desirable:
1. The person in charge of the recording tells me today that she wouldn't
always want to use her phone for recording, but if she used the website on
the laptop, it could only record for half an hour;
2. She also said that her voice and her friends' voices are not balanced --
she sounded like she was in a room, while they sounded like they were far
away from her in the recording.
We've talked about using Facebook Messenger, where I record with Audacity,
and they connect using Messenger to talk, but I'm sure there are other high
quality platforms for this to be done.
Note: the friends are in different places. Two of them are in Cincinnati,
and one is in Toledo, which is 3 hours away from Cincy.
Here is where you come in. I would love it if you could suggest better
platforms for my friends to connect with me, either through their phones or
laptops (probably cross-platform apps like Messenger), but with high audio
quality better than Messenger, if possible? Does such a platform exist
that's free and easy to set up?
I could do all the set up and recording if needed, they would just need to
call in and be connected.
