Oh dear. You are quite sure the .aup file isn't lurking somewhere? It
sounds very unAudacity but a glitch may have occurred due to the
housekeeping.

I closed down Audacity after saveing the files and notice there is a _data folder of the project name but an Audacity project file was not created.
How do I get the project back?
