Hello,

BTW: Audacity 1.3 Beta is more accessible with JAWS, and afaik the noise removal has been improved. You can use the Effects / Noise Removal. Helpful to read the instructions with JAWS cursor, so you know exactly when to select the hum only and when to select the parts where the humming has to be removed. You should use the pre-listening button to test the settings. I myself did not have any success with the removal, but probably because of difficult noise. Changing humming and high frequencies are difficult to remove, and the use of the notch filter is a bit difficult when you do not want to remove mechanical 50 or 60 Hertz humming. The problem is then to find out which frequency is actually disturbing. In your case however, Notch filter might help.

Regards,
Arne
