Hi John,
I can reproduce your problem. It only occurs when Jaws is running - it does
not occur with other screen readers running.
If I move the focus to the selection toolbar (ctrl+f6) before pressing
ctrl+w, then Audacity does not crash.

I reinstalled Audacity and reset my preferences back to the defaults, but
the problem persists. I did not do a complete uninstall of Audacity
assuming damaged files or settings would be repaired.
Any thoughtsthe about what is going on here or how to fix it. I am using
JAWS 18.
