I should've mentioned I have made all the changes in the sound card submenu and when playing back the recording, when I tap a key, during the recording, it is still heard. Go to JAWS > Utilities > Soundcards and change the setting to Speakers / Headphones or where ever your headset is plugged into. This should separate the speech output from the recording source.
