Welcome to the list Randy. Firstly, no you will not need
scripts. There is a developer who has a blind wife and he is working
hard on trying to make Audacity usable from a blindness
perspective. But now here is the kicker. You first need to have
Audacity I think 1.2 and then you need to run the beta which is an
executable file of version 1.3 over the top. This makes for a pretty
accessible user interface and also a pretty accessible
recorder. Might I ask what you are planning to record this may help
in telling you what to do next?
