What sort of labels? There are region labels and point labels.
I could imagine that you use point labels (which always worked) and
due to some new bug, it exports from the label to the end of the
project instead of just the part til the next label.
In other words, does the big file hold just one song or actually the
rest of the project?
Also, check if it is really an Mp3 after export, e.g. in your player
-> properties.

Hi all,

As I said before, I now get huge 100 MB files which is ridiculous.

Subject: [audacity4blind] Why has Audacity started exporting huge MP3
files?
Hi everyone, I believe some of you clever folk can help me figure this out.
Using Audacity, I've been recording albums from the Internet, labeling the
songs, and exporting multiple to MP3. The file sizes have been around 3 to 4
MB per song after export.
Out of seemingly nowhere the files are suddenly huge, some more than 100 MB,
most between 50 and 100 even though they are still MP3.
I've combed through all the settings I could find but nothing seems amiss.
I remember this starting to happen after I saved a copy of a project as a
Lossless copy. I don't see how that could make all my saves going forward
as Lossless but ...
Any ideas?
Much thanks,
StanB
