Hi David!
Thanks for the tip. I edited out all the Effect prefixes in Audacity.cfj and
all my key strokes are back. Yippee! Though I would suggest taking care of
that in future releases, cause it's annoying.

Cheers! Robbie

Hi Robbie,
Keyboard shortcuts for effects. Alas, this looks like a bug. Audacity 2.0.6
and 2.1.0 store the shortcuts for effects differently in the audacity.cfg
file. In 2.0.6 in the [newkeys] section of config.cfg, the name of effects is
prefixed by Effect\:. This prefix is absent in the 2.1.0 config.cfg.

I don't know why you're getting multiple icons in the start menu. Are you
installing the different versions of Audacity into different folders?

David.

Hi all!
I installed 2.1.0, choosing to keep Preferences and confirming installation to
the existing folder. Is it possible that all my Key commands for effects have
vanished because the effect names have changed? Other key commands are still
valid, only those for effects have, as it were, no effect.
Also, I have noticed that there are six Audacity icons in my Programmes menu.
However, in the uninstall programme dialogue Audacity appears only once. What
is that all about?

Thanks! Robbie
