Hi Chris! I upgraded Audacity myself this morning, and here is a short explanation: I don't know how long time you've used the Mac, so if you're unsure of anything I mention here, please let me know. First of all, when you open a diskimage you'll notice Voiceover says: Image browser. I recommend you change this to either collum or listview, by hitting command-3 or 2 for either mode. Now you can arrow up or down to see what's inside the image. The "applications"-alias is a shortcut that often is placed inside diskimages, so the user can drag and drop things from the image directly inside the applications folder. Instead, I do recommend you do the following: 1. In this case find the "Audacity"-folder and press command-c to copy it. 2. Press Command-shift-A to go to your applications-folder. 3. Press command-v to paste the audacity-folder we just copied into your applications-folder. 4. Press command-shift-C to go back to your computers' list of mounted disks and drives and here find the audacity diskimage. 5. Press command-e to eject the image. Hope this helps.
