The limit is 25 MB for Gmail, as David pointed out.
10 GB can be attached using google drive.

Unfortunately, zip is very poor when it comes to compress audio.
Your song was for instance 41 MB and after compression 36 MB (44.1 kHz /16 bit).
The Audacity format is even worse because it uses normally 32-bit
float and there's no compression algorithm around that can save more
than 25 to 40 % for that format (from the lossless ones of course)
apart from the fact that direct compression is impossible for Audacity
projects.
I would wish that one can choose in Audacity under "Save Compressed
Copy of Project" between lossy (ogg) and lossless (flac or wavepac).

Just like any other attachment.  It may take some time to upload.

How do I send a zip file through gmail on the computer?

Just like that:
- select the project file (*.aup)
- with the control key held down, arrow to the data folder and press
additionally space to select it.
- press the context menu (applications key or shift+F10)
- choose "send to" -> "compressed (zipped) folder"
That creates the zip archive.
You could alternatively zip the data folder alone if selecting two
items at once is to cumbersome.

Remember that the zip archive is treated as a folder, so you could
copy the project file, open the zip-folder and paste it there.

I think you'll have to create a diszip file or similar archive, and
you'll need an app for that.

So''' if I finish a song.  How do I send the data folder? I know
where it's at, but how can I send it?
