Hi Diane

No, nothing has changed.  Left and right brackets ([ and ]) behave as
always.  To recap, they behave differently when playing or stopped.  If you
press either left or right bracket when playing you will set the beginning
or end of the selection respectively.  However, Audacity will continue to
play.  But if you stop and recommence playing, it will only play the
selection.  If you press left or right bracket when stopped, you will be
invited to set the beginning or end of the selection respectively.

Let us know if the problem persists.

Andrew

Subject: [audacity4blind] Selecting

I have a new desktop running the latest version of Audacity. I have an audio
track selected and want to select some audio for deletion. I am trying to
use the left and right bracket keys to make the selection but nothing is
happening. Has something changed? Please advise. Thanks.
