Hi Arne
First you must enable the transport toolbar by going to View menu (Alt+v), point to the toolbar sub menu, right arrow to open this, then find and press enter on the item called transport toolbar. If it doesn't work, do the step above, but choose reset toolbar in the view menu.

Hej Cuong!

I have installede the Audacity-scripts, and the problem, mentioned i the
readme-file, do not work on my desktop computer - Win 7 32 bit, JAWS 14.
Do you try to find a solution?

"We have had problems getting the state of Play, Pause, Record, and Stop on
some configurations. In function GetAudacityState there is commented out
code to determine the pressed state of toolbar buttons by testing the button
graphic name. There are also CS_IMG constants for the pressed state of the
Play, Pause, and Record buttons that must be uncommented as well. If the
current code doesn't work for you, this might work. This code needs further
work, so if you need this code please let us know."

When I try to get the state of play, JAWS just says:

"Can not find transport toolbar. The transport toolbar must be inable for
this scripts to work."
I have inabled the toolbar by using Jaws key + V

Kind regards
Arne, Copenhagen, Denmark

Hi
This scripts for audacity 2.0 or later, and I also tested this on Jaws 14.
So you can use it well
Cuong.

Thanks Mark for answering this
As Mark said, the script gives user some info that sighted people can see on
the screen, also give some keystroke for easy navigate in some dialog, such
as vst plugin. I've created a dictionary file to correct some mispronounce
word in audacity 2.02 or earlier.
You can review the what's new file for mor info

Sorry because my English isn't enough to tell you more.
Cuong.

Hello Daveed.

It is quite possible to use Audacity without the JAWS scripts, but
they enhance the experience considerably by providing extra verbal
feedback that a sighted user would get from the screen, and also more
shortcut keystrokes that a sighted user might use the mouse for. If
this is the first time you have used Audacity I would highly recommend
the latest scripts as they will help you learn the program and its
features more quickly. Give it a try.

Mark
