I don’t have an explanation except that I’ve had other similar experiences. If
you have previous versions of JAWS on your computer, it is worth seeing if the
problem happens when running a previous version. Also, make sure you have the
latest version or build of JAWS 18. I believe the latest build is Build 2945.
If you have the latest build installed, please be sure to let VFO know that you
are having this problem. My experience has been that they are not responsive,
but they won’t even know this is happening if it is not reported. If the
problem doesn’t happen with previous versions of JAWS, then this is a JAWS 18
problem. If it does happen with previous versions as well as the current
version, tthis will tell them that this is not due to anything new they did but
is an old problem.
I believe I have used support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
<mailto:support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> to send in a report, but I’m new to
JAWS and others here might have a better suggestion.

Subject: [audacity4blind] STRANGE ISSUE WITH AUDACITY
Hi all
When I use jaws, Audacity crashes whilst importing a particular mp3 file.
However, when I use NVDA, the mp3 file imports seamlessly.
I’ve rebooted and restarted Audacity and repeated the process to no avail.
Can anyone explain this?
Just in case it’s relevant, I’m running Windows 10 64 bit together with Jaws 18.
Regards
Sameer
