Thanks Jean.

I will have a look and ask any questions afterwards.

When questions are asked, the version of Windows should be specified.
This information may be important even if you have no idea that it might
be. The link you were referred to in the below quoted message is for
Windows 7 and does not apply in your case. You are using XP, as
determined by looking at your e-mail message headers.

For a tutorial on using the Windows Volume Control which is used in
Windows XP, you can download this tutorial from the following link:

There is a way to change the source setting in audacity as well. I won't
go into that in this message, but you may have to learn how to work with
the setting to, in effect, disable it. Audacity didn't used to
automatically set the source. Now, if you don't change the setting that
governs this behavior in newer versions of Audacity, it will change the
source every time you run audacity. I haven't checked the newest version
but if it's still the same, this is an inexcuseably bad change and is
intruisive and disruptive. The best solution is probably to stop this
feature from making changes. I discuss how this is done in my tutorial,
available at:

    Hi all.

I wish to record something broadcast from the internet with Audacity.

Can someone please advise me on how I go about this?

    Many thanks.
