This isn't really an Audacity question because it involves a general principle applicable to any recording program. If the Windows volume control is set to use the output of your sound card as its source, you can literally record any sound you hear through the card. So, yes, with Audacity or any other recording program, if the source setting is correct, you can play anything through an audio player and record it while it plays.
