Hi Hettie
When I turn the volume down on the pc soundcard will it affect the recording?
Good question. Without knowing the specifics of your setup, I would be
guessing if I said yes or no. The simplest way to be sure is to do a test
recording. In case you have not yet discovered it, you can adjust both record
and playback levels from within Audacity. Press control-shift-f6 and tab until
you reach the record volume and playback volume sliders and adjust with up/down
arrows. Press control-f6 to get back to the tracks panel. Let us know how it
goes.

Subject: [audacity4blind] Re: Recording Questions
Hi all
When I record from my old tape recorder the volume must be turned up to the
full for the best results.
The recording comes from the tape recorder and I listen through the pc
speakers. When I turn the volume down on the pc soundcard will it affect the
recording?
Hettie
