I have used Audacity for years and never had this problem, but a friend
of mine just had this happen today and requests any suggestions on
stopping it. Audacity is being used to record a book being read aloud
for the blind. This has been done for years on the same Audacity setup
without this problem occurring. Today, for the first time, random
clicks are audible between words. Nothing on the setup has been
changed. I suggested that they probably can be removed with the
Audacity "noise reduction" feature, but what could be causing this?
