This is written in a bit of a rush, partly because of domestic pressures and
partly because I am concerned about your level of chocolate intake (smile). I
just had a quick skim of the Manual and could not find what I was looking for.
If it is possible to pan left and right with Audacity, I have not found a way
as yet. Maybe someone will have a better suggestion than the following.
As I assume you know, pressing shift-p will let you pan the entire track left
or right. My interim suggestion is that you split the stereo track by arrowing
to it, pressing the Application key and arrowing to split track. In fact, you
may be better off using split stereo to mono. That will give you two tracks.
You can then pan one as far left as you want and one as far right as you want..
I have done that and it was quite effective for the material I had.
Let us know how you get on.

Please could one of you explain the panning process to me, using NVDA and
Audacity. When I do it, it only moves my track from one side to the other, but
not in a sterio kind of way. I have checked on the net, but they are talking
about Envelope tool and things, which has me baffled. Is their a way I can do
this using my keyboard, pretty please? I have devoured a box of chocolates and
is now on a sugar high dued to stress, lol!
