Hi Justin!

Yes I'm having the same problem with Windows 8 and JAWS 15. Restarting JAWS helps, but the problem will reoccur after a while. I'd say wait for JAWS 16. Chances are they'll have sussedWindows 8 by then.

Cheers! Robbie

Hey friends,
I recently upgraded to a windows 8 computer, which also forced me to upgrade to the latest version of JAWS. I've also recently installed the latest version of audacity in order to gain some features I needed.
Everything is working properly, but I'm having a small problem.
Occasionally when I press the alt key to access the menu bar JAWS won't announce the menu.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
So far it appears to be random, or at least I haven't been able to determine the cause of this behavior.
Thanks,
Justin

        Hi there

In terms of subject line, am wondering about taking some or
other relatively simple/short sound clip, and possibly, if
necessary splitting something like a mono track into stereo,
and then sort of using left/right channel volume levels to try
sort of pan it's sound/playback/rendering location around a bit?

Almost like a form of 2D sound effect, in terms of stereo
panning used in certain audio-based games, etc., but, just
wondering how easy/simple it is to sort of prepare multiple
instances of the same sound clip, but, hopefully panned left
to right across a range of sort of stereo locations, by doing
something along the lines of raising/lowering the left/right
channel volume lebels, etc., or else, is there some other,
more specific method relating to achieving something like this?

        TIA
