Hi folks

I wrote off the list that I don't plan to upload the 2.1.3 version of
the add-on.

However, The 2.2.0 version of Audacity is due very soon and it
incorporates some modifications to the GUI.
- A wholly new menu structure and also a overhauled selection tool bar.

This makes some alterations in my script necessary.

I intent therefore to publish the add-on from version 2.2.0 upwards on
the add-on site. Probably with automatic update notification enabled.
Are there other suggestions apart from automatic time announcement?

Some things I want to add:
- reporting of the action that has been undone or redone by Ctrl-z and Ctrl-y.
- Expanding input help (NVDA+1) to include Audacity internal shortcuts as well.
- Announce other actions as well
- announce "Stopped" when a selection has finished playing or recording.
- Adding "Paused" to the track name since this is sometimes a cause
for confusion because effects do not work as intended.
- An options dialog to enable things like automatic time announcements.
and other ideas that are not mature  currently.

Regards
Robert

Yes thanks!!!! The talk along does not disturb me.

It is actually helpful when I am working on voice overs or creating radio

Sorry Autry

I didn't see your mail.
Currently, the audio position is only reported in the NVDA add-on on
demand: NVDA+a.
My keyboard layout uses all insert keys and also the caps lock key as NVDA
modifiers and thus it is pretty easy to get the info while scrolling with
help of the left hand.

Do you want an automatic announcement?

Hi Autery

Apologies if anyone answered your question and I missed it.  JAWS and
NVDA scripts may have a shorthand way of doing it.  Using Audacity
without a script the following works:

Press control-f6 and tab until you reach Audio Position.  Asking NVDA
to read the current line (NVDA-l in laptop layout) will read the
current value, whether playing or paused.  You can use arrow keys to
interrogate more closely.

Hello Robert,

How do I get audacity to report the time while I scroll through the
length of an audio?

Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,

Is there an NVDA addon for audacity?

I had someone emailed an addon, however, my computer and external
harddrive got damage.I now have to reinstall everything. So I am
looking for the NVDA addon again.

And thanks to the person who created it and emailed it to me. Sorry
I cannot remember their name. I now their name start with letter R.

Thanks alot
