HI
Is this newer than the file you shared in 2012 on this list?

I did a presentation for Accessible World awhile ago on Audacity and Mp3
direct Cut. the first part deals with Audacity. It teaches the basics of
Audacity, including basic editing.

As a beginner, you will likely make much faster and more pleasant progress
by using my presentation instead of the manual.

Go to
http://www.accessibleworld.org
and, in the search form, look for Audacity. You will see my presentation
in the results.

I should add that I may have made a mistake in the presentation. I said
that you have to save a file before you can edit it. If that ever was
true, and I'm not sure if it ever was, it isn't now. Also, I didn't cover
selecting tracks, which is very important.

Hi, everyone,
Now that I know that I'm actually able to send and receive messages from
this list it's probably time for me to introduce myself to everyone.

My name is Chris Coulter and I live just north of Seattle, Washington. I
am new to Audacity and to audio editing as a whole but I'm interested in
learning how to do basic editing. I'm a singer, keyboard player and voice
actress. I want to use Audacity in all of these activities, especially in
doing voice-over and audiobook narration.

I look forward to participating in conversations on this list and I'm
excited about learning how to use Audacity, how to edit and how to
understand all the new (to me) terminology and numbers that I hear in
connection with audio editing and production.
Chris
