Not exactly. If you’veever plugged headphones in to a piano or amp, but didn’t
play it, that noise.

It’s in stereo, because I can hear almost static in the other ear. Not
static, but a nose. I don’t knowledge what it’s called. I’ll check it out
today. Is there a setting in audacity i needto look at?

The mono switch is only for the input, i.e. to hear your voice in both ears.
I guess you have a mix knob to get the output from the computer as well.
This one should in any case be stereo.
Try if the jack is really good plugged in. remove it and re-plug it
while wearing the headphones. At some point, you might hear the sound
on the other ear.
This would suggest that it doesn't quite fit. Turn the jack and try if
it can be slit in deeper and if perhaps the plastic prevents it from
doing so.
Try also with another pair of headphones or ear buts.
Best
Robert

Hi Marissa

Here is another line of enquiry to follow as well as suggestions already
made by others.  Are you sure that you are connecting headphones to the
headphone jack and not one of the output lines?  I have never come across
a
Behringer mixer that does not have a stereo headphone jack.  The
headphone
jack will almost certainly have its own volume control.

So, I have a behringer audio interface, but when I plug my headphones to
the
monitoring port, it only comes out of one ear. Thoughts? I'm not buying
another audio interface.
