Pressing Enter toggles the track selection. When the track is not
selected, pressing Enter will select it. When the track is selected,
pressing Enter will un-select it.

Don't use unnecessary commands that are not stipulated.  If you press enter
after you set the markers, you are probably doing something that ccauses
problems with the selection.  Try what you have been doing but only press
enter once at the outset.

Enter selects the track.  If you press it again later, I'm not sure what you
are doing but you have already selected the track.

Subject: [audacity4blind] Misbehaving!

Dear all,

I'm trying to do some simple editting but Audacity isn't behaving the
way it should. I'll tell you what I'm doing, please tell me what I'm
doing wrong!

1. I hit enter to make sure the track is selected.
2. I hit "space" to start the track.
3. I hit "P" to pause the track.
4. I hit "[" to mark the track.
5. I hit "P" to continue playback.
.
6. I hit "]" to mark the track.
7. I hit "Enter" again.
8. I hit"delete" to delete the selection.

So, I am trying to delete audio within a track. When I perform the
above steps, either nothing happens, or the whole track disappears.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, BJ
