What error message are you getting when you try to delete text? If you are
getting the "no track selected" error the select a track to edit (by
pressing enter on the track) before you select your audio within the track.
Regarding projects, if you set the Project to save the data with the project
file, you won't get the error when you try and open the project on another
machine. As long as you be sure the data folder gets shipped with the
project file.
To set the project data options use Edit->Properties->Project

David

Subject: [audacity4blind] Many audacity questions
Hi, I am having a bunch of trouble with audacity right now. I need to be able to select audio, which I can do but when I try to delete it I get an error message. Does anyone else get this, and if so what have you done to resolve it? Also, how should you save your projects? I tried to save them in a couple different formats, and one time I got an error message saying the data file cannot be found, did anyone else get this error message? So how should I save my files? One more thing, I was browsing through the tools today, and the view tab iPhone to transcribe tab, what is this? Will this make are you into text? Thanks a lot, and it audio to text sorry for the errors.
