i use the file menu after getting the correct tracks focused. to fix
what you have done. select the vocal track by moving your up and down
arrows then when focused on the vocal track hit enter. that will
select the track. then arrow to the other and make sure it is
unselected. then go back to the vocal track and go file arrow to edit
and then arrow up to move cursor and go to track start with enter. you
then can go to file and arrwo to generate arrow down to silence hit
enter and add 20 seconds of silence and hit ok. this will add 20
seconds of silence to the bocal track. the instrumental track will
start and the vocal will start after 20 seconds. hope this helps ...
