Hi there. I still haven't gotten the original creators update so if I don't
get it by the time the fall creators update gets here, will the fall update be
the only one that installs since I'm assuming it will include whatever was in
the original update. I would have thought by now that I would have gotten the
first update but I haven't and I'm not one to install those things myself,
rather waiting for them to propagate to my machine on their own.

This is an update on the problem of Audacity crashing which using Jaws on the
Windows 10 creators update.
The good news is that Jaws 2018, which is now in public beta doesn't cause
Audacity to crash. Jaws 2018 beta can be downloaded from this page:

In addition, when the Windows 10 fall creators update is released in October,
it looks like any version of Jaws will be able to be used without causing
Audacity to crash.
Also, as mentioned in previous posts, the Audacity nightly build does not crash
when using Jaws, although you need to look out for a number of changes. The
nightly builds are available from:

You can of course use NVDA and Audacity, as this combination has not been
