Hi Andrew,
I put on a set of woodworking noise reduction ear muffs over my ears and ear
buds. I normally use these in my shop to protect my ears from machine noise.
They solved the problem of JAWS being picked up by my microphone.
This solution does change the acoustic properties of the ear buds, which
reduces the quality of what I hear. Do you or any of the other listers have a
recommendation for a set of enclosed design studio phones that are on the less
expensive side, which would completely isolate headset sounds from being heard
by my microphone?
Thanks,
John

Heard When Recording
Hi Andrew,
That's a good question. I am just using ear buds, so I am sure there is
leakage. I will do some tests with some other options to see if I can improve
the situation.
Thanks,
John

John, could it be that the screen reader speech is being picked up by the mike
through leakage from the headphones?

I am using an external USB card on my Win 10 laptop for JAWS 18. My goal in
doing this is to prevent Audacity from adding JAWS verbage to my Skype
recordings, which are played through the default laptop sound card.
What I hear in my recordings is a very faint speaking from JAWS even though
it is not using the default sound card in my laptop.
Any thoughts about why this might be happening and how to eliminate this
unwanted audio in my recordings?
Thanks,
