Oh okay, I am using an older version 1. something. I hesitate to upgrade
because I have everything working the way I want it and would hate to disturb
the smooth operation. I know they changed some shortcut keys and made some
other changes. Thanks.

Rich, how old is your copy of Audacity? The add/remove plugins item has been
there for quite some time, both in the Effects and Analyse menus. I am also
using NVDA.

I am puzzled. You state:
"The first item in the Effect Menu is add/remove plugins."
That is not what I hear when I enter the Effects menu. The first item I
hear is "repeat last effect" and that is followed by "amplify". I do not
hear any item called "
add/remove plugins." I am using NVDA, but I don't know if that makes any
difference here.

Hi Rich--
Try the following. It sort of worked for me, although I did get a message
saying it did not register. Not knowing what Gsnap does, I cannot say
whether it is doing what it should.
The first item in the Effect Menu is add/remove plugins. Press Enter on
that. Then arrow down or just press g to get to Gsnap. It should be
reported as a new effect. Tab to Enable and press Enter. Then tab to ok
and press enter. That is when I received the did not register message.
Having recorded some speech, I ran Gsnap. The only option I was offered was
Apply.
Good luck
Andrew

I downloaded the GSnap autotuner plug-in and pasted the dll file into
my Audacity plug-ins subfolder. It does not appear in my "effects"
menu. I even went into "effects" in the Preferences menu with
control-p and did the scan of plug-ins and made sure it was checked,
and restarted Audacity,
but still it does not appear in the "effects" menu. What am I missing?
