Hi Ron
To insert a peese of silence into a track in project, do the folowing:
Move cursor to the place where you want to insert silence.
Make sure you selected the track (s) you want to insert silence.
Go to the Generate menu, and choose silence.
A dialog pops up, fielt out the time of silence you want, and press enter.
Please check the format of time by pressing application, and see what is
checked in the context menu. I suggest you choose hh:mm:ss + milliseconds. For
me, that's easy.

  Subject: [audacity4blind] Inserting silence

  Hi All.

Could anyone advise how to insert silence of say 2 3 seconds in to an
Audacity project?

  Many thanks.

Using Windows XP, Jaws 13 and the latest version of Audacity.
