All of my music is in itunes and I play it across my network on my apple tv
hooked to my stereo. While itunes isn't great, I've managed to get what I
needed done. Think I'll burn this folder to a cd and see if it plays like it
should.

Hi Larry,
I feel your frustration. I only use the dreaded I tunes to put music on my
phone since it's the only way. I find it a hatefully inaccessible program.

Hi. I got my test project broken into the requisite tracks and named the
tracks by selecting each one and going to name. I ran a multiple export and
saved it to a folder that I named for the album and think I got all the tags
in. I got album, artist, track number and name and year. I got it into
itunes and itunes recognized the album and found it by artist and then by
album within artist. I see all the songs by their proper name but itunes
won't reliably play the one I select. It seems to go back to the first track
or may pick another at random. I'd appreciate any ideas. And I do appreciate
all the terrific help you all have given me.
