Hi, the first thing you want to do is enable the full keyboard set
(described in the guide) then shift+P will work.
Control+P -> keyboard -> default button -> full set.
For mixing, just paste your snippet onto a new track.

Thank you for the help with mp4 files.
As someone who used goldwave, you’ll have to forgive me but I have further
questions, I’ve read the very well written jaws guide, but I don’t have the
answer to the following.
Can you mix tracks with audacity? Eg: sounds of soccer over a song? If yes
how? I tried to cut 1 track to paste over another, but I could only hear 1
track, when I’d like to hear both. I need to cut snipits from 1 track to
paste over another and need to hear both, is this possible?
Where in the menu can I find the special effects?
The guide states, shift P will help you to pan a track, none of the shift
commands work with audacity 2.33?
Can you record the system output as well as your voice, if yes how please?
So far I’m struggling with the programme, perhaps I’m expecting too much?
Just in case, I’m using windows 10, jaws 19 and audacity 2.33.
Any help would be appreciated.
