Hi, Justin. When using the Pause and Left and Right bracket to edit things out, do you still get noisy clicks when you used Pause?
Robert said that Shift A and Z need to be used to avoid the clicks at borders. Would you are someone please give me a sequence of exactly when to press each key from the point that I pause at the silence beginning to saving my edited selection that no longer contains the silence? That would be so amazingly helpful. The problem with the manual broken up into the links is that for each section, you only get to know one aspect of using a function. If it were a true one-piece manual, it would be more likely to contain:
1. First you ----. 2. Then you ----. Thank you for your help. Linda Adams-----Original Message----- From: Justin Trevino

Once you've pressed P to pause the audio, you can press left or right bracket to set selection boundaries. Left bracket sets the selection start wherever you paused the audio. Right bracket sets the selection end wherever you paused the audio. Once you've established a selection boundary you then must press space bar to stop before doing any actual editing. Hope this is helpful. Justin On 4/19/2014 3:23 PM, Robert Hänggi wrote:

Effects, deleting and so on does not work when playback is paused. You should use Shift-a to stop the playback and set the cursor at the new position. Another useful key for smooth cuts is "Z" which searches for the nearest zero crossing, i.e. you do not have an ugly click at the border.
