Hi Gale.

Insert Page up after recording works perfectly.

The Status Bar messages that appear are relevant to what you
are doing at the time. So when you first start Audacity, the
Status Bar has the welcome message and version number that
Sandra mentioned.

You have to start an Audacity recording before the Status Bar
shows the message about disk space remaining time. You will
need to wait a few seconds after recording starts before the
message appears. Or just press R to record and SPACE to stop
recording then the message will appear after you press SPACE.

There is a warning on launch of Audacity when you have 100 MB
or less space in the temporary folder. But 100 MB is only about
five minutes of recording time for stereo recording in 32-bit
float.

If you are recording and run out of disk space, unfortunately
there is no warning. Audacity will start corrupting the existing
recording when it has no more space. It is yet another thing
that is on the list to be fixed.

Yes that is weerd that it does that. But what I do no that unless if
you switched it off under settings, there is a setting wich allow to
warn you when the space on your harddrive becomes low.
