One of the method I Did about 10 minutes ago is
Press J to move cursor to the beginning of file
Press ] to set the right selection.
When the dialog appear, enter the time where you want to mark the end of
selection, press enter.

Hi All.
Now I understand the difference between labels and selections, I am still
struggling to perform a task.
I want to delete 2 seconds roughly at the start, but don't seem able to do
this.
I have tried left bracket where I want the recording to start, then Shift
plus j. This seems to loose all sound. Similarly I have tried pressing p for
pause where I want it to start, and Shift j again.
Any advice gratefully received.
